How MyStoreRewards works:
Your buyer is invited to join your MyStoreRewards program though an invitation link directly placed on your checkout page invoice. Example:

Repeat buyers see the same four blue question marks when they return. The message is personalized for a repeat buyer and offers them their unique repeat reward amount.
You choose the reward percent for your buyer, and MyStoreRewards automatically manages the buyer's invitation acceptance, and we calculate and apply your buyer's reward directly to the buyer's shopping cart invoice, like this:

3. What does MyStoreRewards cost?
We have NO fixed fees. Every fee is pay-for-performance. Each month, you pay us:
1) Only if we add buyers to your email opt-in list; and,
2) Only if we increase your repeat sales at least 10%.
We charge you a fee when we get your buyer's opt-in permission for your MyStoreRewards email list.
Building a large list of opted-in email addresses with loyal buyers is one of the foundations of our business. Once we get your buyer's opt-in permission, we send them regular marketing emails promoting only your store items. These emails are sent twice a month for as long as your buyer remains opted-in.
When we get your buyer's opt-in permission, we charge you a one-time fee equal to 1% of the buyer's purchase total (excluding taxes). We cap this fee at $1.00. Example:

Getting your buyer's opt-in permission is the first step we take to increase your repeat sales.
2) IF we increase your average repeat sales by at least 10%, we charge you just 1% of the repeat sales amount for MyStoreRewards buyers.
To prove we increase your average repeat sales by 10%, we compare the average repeat sales from buyers in your MyStoreRewards program to average repeat sales from buyers NOT in your MyStoreRewards program. Comparing these two groups will show any increase in repeat sales our program has driven.
The table below shows how we determine if we charge our 1% increased repeat sales fee. The table shows different average repeat sales amounts in a specific month, for MyStoreRewards opted-in buyers for a seller compared to non-opted-in buyers for the same seller.
The only time you pay is when your MyStoreRewards buyers spend more than 110% of the average spend by your base buyers.
*Total repeat sales amount divided by total buyers in the group.
With MyStoreRewards pay-for-performance fees you have nothing to lose. You either gain opted-in buyers plus increase repeat sales by at least 10% or you pay nothing!
Note: There is a separate fee schedule if you use the version of MyStoreRewards for PayPal.
Other Costs: You set your buyer reward percentagess and we calculate and deduct the appropriate reward amount right from your buyer's invoice at checkout. We recommend sellers give a 1 to 2% reward for buyer's who opt-in and a 2 to 5% reward for a repeat sale. 1% is the minimum.
Lastly, you can also send out special occasion emails to any/all your opted-in buyers at your discretion. If you choose this option, we charge you an additional $0.01 for each special occasion email campaign sent with a minimum $5.00 fee per campaign.

7. How do I handle returns with MyStoreRewards?
Handle your buyer returns with MyStoreRewards exactly the same as you handle returns today. You do not need to change anything to use MyStoreRewards.
8. Does MyStoreRewards work on websites outside the USA?
Yes. We currently have sellers in 28 countries around the world. At this time, sellers must use CRE Loaded, osCommerce or Zen Cart to use MyStoreRewards. Our service works with PHP 4.0 and higher. Any seller using PayPal or selling on eBay can also use MyStoreRewards for PayPal.
9. How should I set the reward rebate amounts when I use MyStoreRewards?
You choose the reward percent to give your buyers for opt-in and for a repeat sale. We recommend a 1-2% reward at opt-in (the minimum) and a 3-5% reward for any repeat sale. Buyer rewards are calculated on the total item payment (excluding shipping, handling and taxes). Rewards are deducted on the buyer's invoice at time of checkout. You can change your MyStoreRewards percentage rewards at any time.
You must also set your own maximum reward amount for any one transaction. We recommend you set 10.00 as the maximum reward. We will never issue more than the maximum reward amount you set.
10. Does MyStoreRewards work on all ecommerce web-sites as well as on eBay?

11. What do you do with my information and my customer information?
We have an extensive Seller Privacy Policy and Buyer Privacy Policy you should read those before signing-up.
It is also important to note that our service requires and records your buyer opt-in permission. Because your reminder emails are sent from our server, by law and to meet the highest industry standards, we are obligated to get your buyer's opt-in permission directly. If you wish to send your buyers emails from your own servers, you must get their opt-in permission directly for your own emailing purposes.
12. What are my obligations if I sign-up?
You agree to integrate the MyStoreRewards program into the buyer checkout flow on your website. You agree to give your buyer a reward when the buyer opts-in to your MyStoreRewards program and whenever the opted-in buyer makes a repeat purchase from you. You also agree to pay our fees as outlined in question 3 above.
There are no long-term contracts with MyStoreRewards. You can change or cancel your MyStoreRewards program at any time by notifying us via email.
13. Is MyStoreRewards safe and secure?
Absolutely! Our system integrates into your checkout flow and all information is shared through secure API (automatic programming interface) calls. Also, no money is handled by us for your buyer rewards. Everything is handled at the point of buyer checkout.
14. Is there a maximum reward amount a buyer can earn in any one transaction?
Yes. You set a maximum reward amount for any single checkout transaction. The default setting for your maximum reward is 10.00 in your local currency. The maximum reward amount caps the reward any buyer can earn in one transaction. We show your maximum to your buyer in the rules of the program and we remind them of it in emails we send them.
15. What does CRE Loaded or osCommerce say about MyStoreRewards?
osCommerce is an open source software platform. As such, osCommerce encourages the use of modules, like MyStoreRewards, by its users. Likewise, CRE Loaded is fully supportive of MyStoreRewards. MyStoreRewards has strong working relationship with CRE Loaded and is supportive of the osCommerce developer community.
16. What do I need to do with my accounting systems when I use MyStoreRewards?
You do not need to alter your accounting for any reason when you use MyStoreRewards. You can use MyStoreRewards with any accounting package.
17. Do I need to make any changes to my ecommerce system to use MyStoreRewards?
MyStoreRewards is integrated into your checkout flow or shopping cart software. Integration usually takes less than one hour. You can do it yourself, or you can contact any of our affiliated installers who will integrate our service into your checkout flow. We do suggest you use an affiliated installer. Affiliate installers charge for their time helping you install, costs generally fall between $60 and $150 in total. You can find a list of affiliated installers here.
18. Does MyStoreRewards send SPAM emails?
No. We do not send SPAM emails. Our service is white-listed on all the major email services like AOL, Yahoo and the like. We have also registered our service under the sender-authentication program used by Hotmail, MSN and others. We make it our business to know the laws and standards required for sending marketing emails to opted-in buyers so you won't have to spend your valuable time learning and satisfying those laws and standards.
Our opt-in permission process meets or exceeds all legal, industry and eBay and PayPal standards for commercial email.

19. Can I use my opted-in list of buyers to send my own emails?
Email marketing laws are very specific on this issue. You can send custom emails from our service to your MyStoreRewards opted-in buyers. However, please be aware that by opting-in to MyStoreRewards, your buyer has granted their opt-in permission to receive emails only from our service, based on our Privacy Policy.
A buyer's opt-in email permission to receive emails from your account on MyStoreRewards is NOT equal to the buyer's opt-in permission to receive emails from you directly from your own servers. You should always ask for and get your buyer's opt-in permission directly before you send emails from your own servers.
If you cancel your service with us, we will notify your buyers and give each an option to opt-in directly to your own email list. We will then provide you with a list of the buyers who indicate they will join your opt-in list directly (see the Seller Privacy Policy for more details).
20. For some of my sales, a buyer may only get a $0.50 reward or less. Is that worth it to the buyer?
One thing we have learned in all our years running reward programs is that buyers like to save money. They really, really like to save money. The amount doesn't matter much.
In fact, try this experiment when you are out in public today. Take a quarter out of your pocket and drop it on the ground. Then sit back and watch how many people look at the quarter and walk past it without picking it up. Let us know if more than three people do, because we've never seen a quarter sit on the ground that long before someone picks it up.
While that is a fun experiment to try, we suggest you experiment with your own reward levels. Setting different reward levels is incredibly easy on MyStoreRewards. It takes about 30 seconds. Test different reward levels to see what works best for your business.
21. How does MyStoreRewards affect the merchant fees I pay for credit cards?
MyStoreRewards operates independently of your merchant processing account. As such, you pay only your usual fees for merchant processing.
22. Do I get charged the opt-in fee if the buyer opts-in but doesn't complete the checkout?
No. You are only charged the 1% opt-in fee when your buyer has both opted-in and completes checkout with you.
23. How do I get help with MyStoreRewards?
You can install MyStoreRewards yourself or you can use an Affilate Installer to help you set-up your MyStoreRewards account. We also offer these extensive FAQ's to answer most questions. Lastly, you can send us any question via email to customerservice@MyStoreRewards.com and we will respond promptly.

25. Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. To cancel first turn "off" your MyStoreRewards on the admin screens for your ecommerce site. Then, simply send an email to customerservice@MyStoreRewards.com with the subject of "Cancel My Account". Once you cancel, MyStoreRewards will contact each of your buyers to inform them that your reward program is ending and to encourage them to opt-in to your own email list directly.
26. When you send my buyers the free marketing email, which items do you automatically cross-sell in the email?
We have one of the world's most intelligent cross-selling features built into our MyStoreRewards email system. We match your most popular selling items to the previous items your buyer purchased to determine the most likely next purchase your buyer might make. We include up to 40 of those items in the email. We also include 10-15 images in the email.
You can also use MyStoreRewards to create a custom campaign to cross-sell specific items you want sent to your buyers. Creating custom campaigns is easy and gives you greater flexibility in promoting "hot" items or sending higher-priced items to bigger spenders. Custom campaigns can be created in about 5 minutes.
To properly cross-sell your items, we request a data-feed of all your available items. You can send us your data-feed after registration.
27. How do I get started with custom campaigns?
You can use your MyStoreRewards program to segment your buyers into different buyer groups. You can then send different reward offers to the selected groups. We call those custom campaigns.
For instance, you can send all buyers who have spent, say $500 with you in the last year, one unique reward offer and special email copy. Or, you could set up a custom campaign so any buyer who hasn't purchased from you in the last 90-days receives a different reward and email copy. You can also create a special season sale offer for Mother's Day or Christmas by giving a special bonus of 10% back on all purchases during the sale.
The custom campaign tool is simple but very powerful. You can create a custom campaign in your account at any time. It takes about five minutes to create a custom campaign.
